Welcome Guide | Your first weeks at MLS – Plymouth — 2026–2027

Hello families with students attending the K-5 program on our school campus at 512 W. Township Line Road in Plymouth Meeting!

Here is everything you need for the opening weeks of MLS – Plymouth, in one place. Classrooms are taking shape, therapy spaces are prepared, and we are counting down the days until we welcome our first students!

Back-to-School Night
Thursday, October 8, 5:30–7:30 pm

Opening Week

Tuesday, September 8 to Friday, September 11
8:45 AM – 1 PM, all four days

September 14 and After
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 8:45 am – 2:45 pm
Wednesday: 8:45 am – 1:00 pm

The first week finishes early so students can ease into a new building and a new routine. Wednesdays finish early all year, which gives our staff dedicated time each week for professional learning.

Before the First Day

  • Watch for a welcome message from your child’s classroom team.
  • Schedule your Family Story Meeting when your child’s team reaches out.
  • Read the Family Handbook before the first day. Your child’s team will send it to you. It introduces our philosophy, our daily routines, and the partnership we hope to build with you.
  • Watch for transportation, arrival and dismissal information.

A Few Helpful Reminders

  • Label backpacks, lunch boxes, water bottles and a spare change of clothes.
  • Pack a nut-aware lunch and snack. Plymouth is a nut-aware campus, and some members of our community have life-threatening allergies.
  • Dress your child for outdoor play every day. We walk outside daily, in most weather.
